Sample menus
Below are samples from our Autumn main and vegetarian menus for a weekly period at Drayton House.
The menus change through the seasons and are on a four week cycle.
Main menu
Monday
Lunch | Chicken in a tomato and basil sauce served with wholemeal pasta, seasonal vegetables and crusty bread |
Pudding | Banana and date cake |
Tea | Lamb Keema Curry, served with braised rice and homemade chapatti bread |
Tuesday
Lunch | Beef stew, served with homemade dumplings, thyme roast potatoes, fine green beans, carrots and corn |
Pudding | Oaty Raisin and cinnamon cookies |
Tea | Tuna melts on homemade bloomer bread, served with homemade baked beans |
Wednesday
Lunch | Creamy Turkey Dhansak, served with sweet potatoes and roasted pumpkin, mint yogurt, rice and fruity flat bread |
Pudding | Sticky ginger cake |
Tea | Homemade sausage rolls, served with mini jacket potatoes and peas |
Thursday
Lunch | Glazed roast gammon served with peas pudding, new potatoes, broccoli and carrots |
Pudding | Carrot cake with cream cheese topping |
Tea | Mushroom and spinach pasta bake served with garlic dough balls |
Friday
Lunch | Hand cut fish fingers, served with creamy mash and homemade spaghetti hoops, peas and corn |
Pudding | Steamed blueberry and vanilla sponge with custard |
Tea | Chicken and sweet corn soup served with homemade crusty bread |

Lunch | Roasted root vegetables and soya bean stew, served with homemade dumplings, thyme roast potatoes, fine green beans, carrots and corn |

Tea | Tuna melts on homemade bloomer bread served with homemade baked beans |
Wednesday
Lunch | Creamy Quorn Dhansak, served with sweet potatoes and roasted pumpkin, mint yogurt, rice and fruity flat bread |

Tea | Roasted vegetable and tofu roll, served with mini jacket potatoes and peas |
Thursday
Lunch | Glazed roast Tofu served with peas pudding, new potatoes, broccoli and carrots |
